CTDXA QSO PARTIES

THANKS TO ALL PARTICIPANTS

CTDXA members have enjoyed working both stateside and DX stations during our QSO Parties.  We award certificated to each ham submitting a log of contacts to KB1CQ.  As requested, we have received logs of QSOs with the required 3 member stations, along with the $3.00 donation.

ABOUT CTDXA

The Connecticut DX Association became a bright idea in 1982 and was established and chartered in January of 1983.  The first officers were Ron Richards, WB1EAZ, President and Paul Shafer, KB1BE, Vice President.

CTDXA members are amateur radio operators who primarily enjoy talking from the United States to fellow ham radio operators who are in other countries.  Some of our members also enjoy talking to hams who operate Maritime Mobile on the high seas, or who operate from aircraft, space shuttles and space stations, or through amateur radio satellites.

From our locations in the United States, or while visiting foreign countries, we enjoy contacting amateur radio stations in other countries.  Hams operating outside of the U.S. are the DX stations that we seek.  We can receive awards by working certain of those stations.

MEETINGS

CTDXA in-person meetings are held monthly on the first Wednesday of each month.  The time and place is 7:30 p.m. at ARRL Headquarters at 225 Main Street, Newington, CT.  We welcome visitors and new members.  The first meetings in 1983 were held at the home of Ron Richards.
