ABOUT CTDXA

The Connecticut DX Association became a bright idea in 1982 and was established and chartered in January of 1983.  The first officers were Ron Richards, WB1EAZ, President and Paul Shafer, KB1BE, Vice President.

CTDXA members are amateur radio operators who primarily enjoy talking from the United States to fellow ham radio operators who are in other countries.  Some of our members also enjoy talking to hams who operate Maritime Mobile on the high seas, or who operate from aircraft, space shuttles and space stations.

From our locations in the United States, or while visiting foreign countries, we enjoy contacting amateur radio stations in other countries.  Hams operating outside of the U.S. are the DX stations that we seek.  We can receive awards by working certain of those stations.
